"The concept for MaternityBride came to me in 2005 when I realized the real need for maternity bridal and formal gowns in the special occasion wear industry. Resolving to combine my love for design with my desire to help other pregnant brides-to-be, I launched Maternity Bride only months after my own wedding and birth of my daughter Anna Lee. The collection consisted of six maternity wedding dresses that aimed to have something for everyone, at prices that wouldn't break the bank. The collection was met with praise from BRIDES, CBS Early Show, FOX, The New York Times and more, (and quickly became my other baby!). Over the years I've expanded Maternity Bride to offer designer maternity evening dresses for the most special occasions, and now The Maternity Bride Guide, providing much needed resources and support for pregnant brides planning a wedding and for a baby at the same time. Nine years ago "maternity wedding dresses" didn't exist and there was nowhere to turn for help with planning a wedding while preparing for a birth at the same time. It's been my mission and pleasure to change that for other maternity brides."
